Who is Sit Down! Games?

Founded in 2011, Sit Down! Games quickly established itself as a publisher to watch. Based in the Walloon region near Namur, Belgium, their catalog includes a mix of innovative, family-friendly, and thought-provoking titles.

Some highlights from their journey:

• Wiraqocha (2011): their debut release, a bold and imaginative start.

1 We are in the early XXth century, but the world is not as we know it. In 1895, exploring Amazonia, Auguste Copperpot discovered a gate to a lost valley, occupied by a primitive civilisation. Wiraqocha Valley was the name he gave to this remote Eden. This world enclosed a treasure that was going to revolutionize modern sciences, namely the Somnium, an orange luminescent crystal showing amazing properties. It can be used as fuel, affects matter and even time. Immediately, this virgin land became a new Eldorado for European colonists. Empress Victoria II decided to send several conglomerates to share this promised land and reap the fruits to her benefit. Zeppelin fleet, full of scientists, adventurers and looters, clouded the Atlantic sky.

2 Sushi Dice is a fast-paced game for energetic players. Three Order cards show what two players must prepare by rolling the symbols on their six personal dice. They can roll as often as they like, keeping whichever dice they choose.

But the twist lies in the “Yuck” symbol on 3 of each player’s 6 dice. If you spot your opponent rolling one, shout “YUCK!” and they must reroll all their dice!

Other players stay involved, watching for simultaneous “Yuck” symbols to shout “MATE!” and end the duel. Up to 6 players are always engaged.

3 After being stripped of all their possessions, a mage, a barbarian, an elf, and a dwarf are forced to go rob the local Magic Maze shopping mall for all the necessary equipment they need for their next adventure. They agree to pull off their heists simultaneously, then dash to the exits in order to evade the guards who eyed their arrival suspiciously.

4 Dive is a game using the transparency of cards to play a unique experience. Your sense of observation will be at the heart of the game but the strategy may make the difference.

5 Redwood is a game of movement estimations and angle of view where players have to take pictures of wild animals to compose the most beautiful panorama.
